I love this ribbed slip dress because of its versatility – perfect for lounging at home, wearing as the base piece of an outfit, or paired with this fabulous capelet to dress it up!
This year I learned how to use a ribber after acquiring an SK840 standard gauge knitting machine. Even though I was quite comfortable with my flat bed machine, I found that there was a steep learning curve in adding another bed. This dress was one of the first things I made as practice where I also learned how to fully fashion a 1×1 rib. So while this dress is super cute and comfy, it’s also a great learning project!
When I decided to design special occasion wear, I knew I wanted to have a capelet that could be worn over a dress for added elegance, warmth, and/or modesty. This capelet turned out so fun with its sheer sparkle and super soft faux fur trim. Put it on to step into a glamorous state of mind whether you’re going out or staying in!
